The Ferrari 499P Modificata

Unveiled during the Finali Mondiali at Mugello circuit, is more than just an ordinary hypercar. Derived from the prototype that triumphed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this racing beast breaks free from the regulatory constraints of the WEC, offering even more power than the crowned Hypercars at Sarthe. Offered in an ultra-limited series, this exclusive creation is aimed at an elite group of affluent drivers selected from among the marque's most loyal clients.

The entry price to join this highly exclusive circle? A considerable sum of 5.1 million euros, a figure that ensures much more than a mere acquisition: it opens the doors to an entirely new client program called Sport Prototipi Clienti. It guarantees participation, starting from 2024, in a Ferrari one-make competition on prestigious circuits such as the Nürburgring, Le Castellet, Laguna Seca, Suzuka, or Mugello. The comprehensive package includes not only the purchase of the car but also participation fees for two years, top-notch technical support provided by a dedicated team of mechanics from Maranello, as well as complete logistical support to ensure a global "Fly and Drive" experience.

The 499P Modificata embodies an exquisite blend of its historic victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and modernity, almost reminiscent of the mythical 250 GTO of contemporary times. Its aura and potential collector status make this machine an exceptional piece, whose value could skyrocket in the coming years.

Technically, this Modificata version escapes the constraints imposed by the regulations of the WEC Hypercars and the Balance of Performance. The result? An even more impressive technical specification: a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 identical to that of the endurance prototype, coupled with a boosted electric motor thanks to an 800 V battery inherited from the F1. This hybrid power allows the Modificata to reach 700 horsepower on all four wheels, even surging to 870 hp for seven seconds when the "Push to pass" function is activated.

Despite this colossal power, Ferrari has made adjustments to make this machine more accessible to less experienced drivers. Specific tires, slightly reworked aerodynamics, and some ergonomic modifications, such as tweaked suspensions and a wider bucket seat, have been incorporated to offer a less demanding driving experience.

For enthusiasts with the appropriate driving skills and corresponding financial means, the 499P Modificata represents much more than just a car. It's a ticket to an exclusive world of competition and thrilling experiences on the most prestigious circuits, a privilege reserved for a handful of fortunate individuals. For others, silently contemplating this marvelous creation seems to be the only option.
